As Milan Design Week [Salone del Mobile] approaches, we’ve pulled together a few of Sandra's favourite spots around the city that capture its vibrant culture and creativity. 1. VILLA NECCHI CAMPIGLIO

This 20th-century villa is a wild insight into Milanese aristocratic life and 1930-50s interior design. Famously where Luca Guagagino shot 'I am Love' starring Tilda Swinton. It's a must see.

Tickets here.

2. BAR NICO

Bar Nico is a newly opened chic, atmospheric wine bar in Milan's Acquabella district, known for its inviting interior featuring warm wood, tables, soft red lighting and old school bistro chairs. The owners, who have named the bar after their dog Nico, have curated a selection of wines and Mediterranean-inspired small bites, perfect for unwinding after a busy day of touring around the city.

See Nico the dog and the bar's menu here.

3. BIVIO VINTAGE

Arguably the best thrift shop in Milan, Bivio offers a carefully curated collection of vintage treasures. A perfect place to hunt for designer and one-of-a-kind pieces with Italian flare.
